About me

Hey! My name is Aaron. I'm an undergraduate computer science student in the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) at UMass Amherst. I'm broadly interested in a variety of topics from machine learning to human-computer interaction, but my research is primarily focused on deep learning and computational chemistry.

I currently work as an intern at AbbVie, a pharmaceutical company based in Chicago, IL. This year, I am exploring a number of deep learning methods for discovery and assessment; in other words, I develop models to extract meaningful information about drugs (but I don't work with the drugs themselves!)

In my spare time, I enjoy writing short stories, playing the piano, and making coffee. Did you know…? I was formerly a barista at Fuel America, a specialty coffee shop based in Worcester, MA, where I served espresso drinks and poured latte art.
